Sulfate minerals are of generally limited importance at Franklin and Sterling Hill. Barite, however, is widespread in small amounts. Four unique sulfates (torreyite, lawsonbauerite, mooreite, and hauckite) occur with altered pyrochroite-bearing assemblages at Sterling Hill.
