Laumontite, a calcium aluminum silicate hydrate mineral of the zeolite group, was reported from Sterling Hill in 1983 by Fred Parker in The Picking Table, 24, #2, p. 8. It occurred as flattened, radiating sprays of milky-white crystals up to 2 mm in maximum dimension on a carbonate matrix. It was verified using X-ray diffraction and chemical analytical methods.
